Collaborative project with Hong Kong
The international project between
The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HK IEd) and
The University of Skövde enables us to encourage and develop the internationalisation of the teacher education. The collaboration with the HK IEd is conducted within the framework of
Learning Study which contributes to the project’s focus on education.
Moreover, the students Swedish VFU seats are also part of the project, meaning that the project might have an effect on those activities as well (school development, teachers’ competence development).
As part of the project, students and teacher trainers participate in the education at the HK IEd and develop an international exchange of experience with schools and teacher educations. By studying the Chinese school context from several perspectives, the foundation for an intercultural perspective can be formed.

Valid-Kanklès - collaboration project between teacher and pedagogical educations in the Nordic and Baltic States
For the fifth time the teacher education in Skövde is a part of an international Nordplus -project called Valid- Kanklès. Teacher and other pedagogical educations from Denmark (Kolding), Finland (Vaasa), Norway (Oslo and Alta) and Lithuania (Vilnius) work together in this project. The overall aim with the project is to learn and discuss about values in education and to do this with support from different e-learning methods. More specific the aims with the projects are:
- Renewal and innovation of the teaching of values with emphasis on democratic citizenship and intercultural awareness
- The development of transnational and cross professional e-learning methods.
Both students and teachers from the universities above take an active part in two intensive courses and the working groups are most of the time international. Between the two intensive courses the student and teachers work together in an e-learning period. During 2010 the hosts for the two intensive courses are Vaasa 7-11/3 and Oslo 12-16/5.
